Students residing within the school’s zone, or who have a prior association with the school, have priority right of entry.
If there are more applicants in the priority groups than there are places available, selection will be by ballot conducted in accordance with instructions issued by the Secretary under Section 11G(1) of the Education Act 1989.
There are 280 places available for Year 9 students in 2018.

Siblings of current students of SBHS
Siblings of former students of SBHS
Sons of former students of SBHS
Sons of Board members or Board employees of SBHS
Any other applicants will be selected by ballot

The Ministry of Education has approved an enrolment zone for Shirley Boys’ High School ahead of their move to QEII Park. You can read the Ministry of Education’s Enrolment Scheme and see zone details below. A paper copy can also be collected from our school office.
